Cost Estimator in Warrington, Cheshire

Advanced Resource Managers are currently recruiting for a cost estimator to join a leading client within the Nuclear industry.

Accountability's:

• Prepare fit for purpose cost estimates across all key account areas and project categories that comply with company standards and processes and utilise methodologies appropriate to the project lifecycle
• Liaise as required with engineering and other departments to obtain the necessary inputs required for the timely compilation of cost
• Ensure an appropriate Basis of Estimate is adequately documented for all cost estimates together with all necessary
• Present and support cost estimates through technical and commercial review
• Carry out peer review and benchmarking of cost estimates as
• Support and contribute to the collection & compilation of appropriate estimating norms to support the preparation of reliable & defensible cost
• Train and mentor less experienced staff in processes & tools to ensure cost estimates are prepared in a consistent and standard format across the company.

Your Experience:

• Considerable experience in the field of cost estimating, cost engineering or quantity surveying in a relevant industry sector
• Knowledge or experience in the use of commercially available estimating software
• Some experience in collection & analysis of actual costs with respect to developing norm and parametric based estimates
• Some experience in preparation of cost plans and estimates in a multi-disciplinary team environment
