Manufacturing Engineer in Worksop, Nottinghamshire

My Client is seeking an experience Manufacturing Engineer to be the primary focus in supporting NPI project industrialisation on-site for high-reliability electronic and electro-mechanical products

What you'll do:

  • Lead or support others to deliver CAPEX projects on time and within budget, support problem-solving and TPM events to improve production efficiency and be a go-to point of contact for engineering support.
  • Be the manufacturing engineering support for NPI projects having specific Pro-Launch tasks assigned.
  • Lead and support others to deliver CAPEX projects, this could be smaller projects like purchasing a 3D printer through to buying a fully automated assembly machine with integrated testers.
  • Be responsible for all factory layout changes maintaining an up-to-date layout in CAD.
  • Participate or lead Continuous Improvement (CI) events such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and problem-solving and provide manufacturing engineering knowledge to solve problems and drive efficiency.
  • Design new jigs and fixtures to improve / increase productivity.
  • Support machine guarding and electrical tester remediation tasks.
  • Support and develop multi-axis ABB robot programming especially on the UAC cell optimising Cellular Manufacturing efficiency."

Qualifications:

  • Ideally BEng in Engineering/Manufacturing (Minimum HND)
  • Previous experience in a similar role in manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing Capital projects
  • Electrical knowledge including PLC would be advantageous
  • PMI Project management training would be beneficial
  • CSME qualification

Skills:

  • Proficient AutoCAD Inventor user
  • Excellent communication skills from shop floor to Director level
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Strong and proven project management skills
  • Microsoft Office especially Excel
